Terry Bave Joins Blogger!

Some original Bave artwork!

That's right pals! Terry Bave, who is pretty much the creator of Whizzer and Chips, has entered the blogging universe! His first, and currently only, post advertises a BRAND NEW BOOK by him, featuring over three hundred pages of comic strips! (I'll be taking a look at it when my copy arrives.)

Thanks to Terry for letting me know about his site, so be sure to check it out. Hopefully we'll see a lot of posts from this fantastic cartoonist!

Remember, you saw it here first!

Above: The first photo of Terry and his wife I've ever seen, taken from his website. It can be a funny feeling, seeing what your favourite artists look like for the first time!

Here's hoping it'll be a good read, and not just an advert for the book (which looks great, by the way!).

Definatly, Terry could post a lot of intresting stuff on that site such as how he works etc. Should be good once it gets going!

No such word as 'definatly' - it's 'definitely'. The photo first appeared in an issue of Golden Fun back in the '80s. I used it in a blog post (for an article Terry wrote at my request in 2004) a couple of years back.

PS. Also, it's 'interesting', not 'intresting'. (I'm the new spellchecker.)

I blame this guy:

(the first sentence explains everything)

I don't think the book will feature 300 pages of strips, George. Sounds to me that it's Terry's autobiography which, to me at any rate, makes it even more of a 'must-buy' than if it was solely strips.

Well either way it sounds fantastic, I'd like to read an autobiography about him. I think he wrote something in Golden Fun, but I don't have any issues of that.

That means Terry will be able to cater to a lot audiences in the near future. Also this is a good advertising method to making the public know Terry Bave's story.

He had to do this if he wants to continue to have visibility. Back then comics and print media is the fad but right now its usage and sales became definitely on the low. Blogging and the use of social media further more increase the popularity of works.

Animations always have this certain charm to people. It looks great in documentaries, print ads, and even infomercials.
