Beano Beginnings - Roger the Dodger!
Roger the Dodger was illustrated by the ledgendary Ken Reid, and his first preview was in Beano issue #559, which was also the 1953 easter issue! There was then one more preview in #560, before his first strip appeared in #561, dated 18th April 1953!
